Women, Sustainability, and Justice

NAWO event for
London Climate Action Week
25 June 2025

The IEF co-sponsored the following event in London just before the IEF annual conference 26-29 June 2025.

NAWOinvitation

NAWO, National Alliance of Women’s Organisations, contributed to London Climate Action Week on 25 June with two panels on "Women, Sustainability, and Justice: A Call for Systemic Change". These panels took place in MacLaren Hall at ESE, European School of Economics, London, UK. Panelists included IEF board members Nava Ahmad, Sylvia Karlsson-Vinkhuyzen, Monica Maghami, and Wendi Momen. Other co-sponsors besides IEF were G20 Interfaith Forum, European School of Economics, Justina Mutale Foundation, Mobilizing an Earth Governance Alliance (MEGA), and Climate Education Centre.

The panels explored women's leadership in environmental justice and nature-based solutions, gender-responsive climate policy and legal reform, and the importance of trust, unity, and moral leadership in climate governance.
